Magical Mondays: Magical Moments

There are so many magical things to talk about today, and its not because I am sitting at the Pop Century resort eating tie dye cheesecake, although that might have something to do with it. :) let me tell you, that cheesecake is magical, but it deserves a post all to itself. No, today I want to talk about the magical moments I had a chance to be a part of.

This is a beautiful view, and the clouds were perfect!
My job is such that I can create magical moments. And when I donned a Minnie Mouse apron, sparkling Minnie ears, one white Mickey glove and one pink one, that was what I set out to do: create  magic. I stood in front of the doors facing the Epcot World Showcase and precede to do my best character imitations. I danced and jumped around, gaining energy from the smiles that appeared on guests faces. And while every single person who walked through my door was equally important, there are a few that stand out.

Roommates!
A little girl came through my doors pushed in a stroller. She had a sad look on her face, and being the  good Cast Member I am, I knew I had to change that. I got down on her level, held up my bright pink Mickey glove and asked if I could get a high-four. There was a glimmer of a smile and she held out her hand. I called her a princess, told her how beautiful she was, and thanked her for coming to visit us today. She began to smile bigger. As they walked away, her mom told me that was the happiest she had been all day.

My friend came to visit! :) It was so fun to see her again!
Another little girl in a stroller came in clutching a Minnie Mouse doll. I greeted her as a princess, but her mom reminded me that she was Minnie Mouse, not a princess. I got down on one knee, and we began talking about Minnie and Mickey. They said she met Mickey earlier, so we talked about the Big Cheese. Her mom thought it was so wonderful, she began taking pictures of us together. They walked away with big smiles on their faces.

She is a sweetheart.

The third magical moment is a of a little Snow White. I saw her come by in her stroller, so I leaned down to see if she would give me a high-four. When I saw it was Snow White I got all excited, exclaiming how lucky we were that Snow White would come visit our store! Her smile got really big, and she proceeded to compliment me on everything I had on, from my Minnie Mouse ears to my apron. As she rolled away, I asked her to say hello to the Seven Dwarves for me. I am not sure who left with a bigger smile, me or her.

My best "Gaston" look in Gaston's chair.

Those are just three of the magical moments I had at work this week. There are so many more, from the princesses and space rangers I got to high-four, to the older gentlemen who stopped me to say that he was as old as Mickey, a fact he was proud of. Or maybe it was the couple who were celebrating 40 years of marriage, or the woman who seemed so excited that even though she was over the age of ten, she could still be a princess. There are so many moments that make me excited to get up and go to work each day. I am so blessed and having so much fun!

I think this ice cream might be the most magical.

Have a magical day! :)
