Downtown Disney and Dole Whips!

Sorry for skipping yesterday! It was a jam-packed day of craziness. So, now we are playing catch-up ;) Lets start with Monday night.

On the bus! Our first bus ride!
My roommate, Julie, and I decided to try out Downtown Disney and get a feel for our new home. We jumped on the bus and headed out! Our goal at Downtown Disney was to find our pinch-me-I'm-in-Disney moment. Therefore, it was with eager eyes we searched for my favorite treat in the entire World: Mickey Bars and Ice Cream Sandwiches.

This place is great!

After wandering Downtown Disney, trying on all the Mickey Ears in World of Disney, we finally found what we were looking for. ICE CREAM!

Me and the Boss Man!

Isn't she so cute? Stitch and she are perfect ;)
Oh My Gosh I've Graduated! Class of 2013!!!!!!
We got our ice creams and sat by the water. It was the perfect moment. We both kept looking at each other going, "I can't believe we live here!" I don't know if I will ever get tired of living at Disney.

The most ridiculous picture of me. I had three hours of sleep, been traveling since 3 am, and don't look my best. But who cares? I have a Mickey Sandwich!
Monday night was amazing, and Tuesday we had the whole day off. It was the day of shopping! I had come down here with a suitcase, so I really needed some extra things, like pillows. It was pouring rain when we left for the bus stop. Let me tell you, it pours every single day here! But an hour later, it was bright and clear and we were are Wally World. Not nearly as fun as Disney World, but definitely necessary. After clearing my life's savings, I finally had (almost) everything I needed. Turns out I forgot a hairbrush, but caveman hair is in the Disney look, right? ;)

I don't think I will ever get tired of driving under this sign. Welcome Home!
Last night, I knew I wanted to venture further than Downtown Disney. So Julie and I jumped on the bus and hit the Polynesian Resort. This resort is AMAZING! I have never been here before, and it was incredible. Absolutely gorgeous!

Seriously. This resort is beautiful!
Our first stop was, of course, the store. Recognizing a pattern here? I think if I am not careful I am going to spend all my money on clothes and ice cream. But seriously, how bad would that be? We tried on some more Minnie Ears, chatted with the CM's, then headed on to our real goal: DOLE WHIPS! I have been dreaming about these things since I left Disneyland three years ago. Oh. My. Goodness. Hawaiian Luau in your mouth! The best part about these, they are POUR YOUR OWN! What could be better? Oh wait, how about watching Wishes on the beach, eating a Dole Whip, with your new roommate, who just happens to be awesome? Not much! Also, you can get Mickey Ice Cream Bars and Sandwiches here, too. Who knew?

Home of Captain Cook's and DOLE WHIPS!

I love Lilo and Stich. One of my favorite Disney movies!
Shark Bate Who Ha Ha
WE MADE IT!
YES YES YES

My giant creation. One of the CM's, Nick, gave me a hard time about my "lack of technique" then provided a plate for "When gravity takes over." I didn't care. It tasted amazing!
After the fireworks, we met up with this awesome group of Canadians at the bus stop. They gave us a mini-tour of the bus route, pointing out interesting stops. It was great to finally start meeting other people!

Princess Julie
Minnie Ears! I really need to get a pair of ears....
Crazy roommate picture!
The worst part of the whole thing was that we were staring at the Magic Kingdom across the water and just couldn't go in. We get our CM ID's tomorrow, and until then, it is no parks for us. But seriously, I can't complain. I am living at Disney World!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my giant Dole Whip and no one is going to steal it from me!
